Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit markoskyprianou.com or contact me. The website is operated by Mk. Cyprino Ltd, Limassol, Cyprus ("we", "I"). I have kept this in plain language deliberately — you should be able to understand what happens with your data without a law degree.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Mk. Cyprino Ltd, Limassol, Cyprus. For anything relating to your personal data, contact me directly at markos@cyprino.com.

What data is collected, and why

Data you give me. If you contact me through the consultation form, by email, or by WhatsApp, I receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, and information about your situation. I use this solely to respond to you and, if we work together, to provide my services. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Data collected automatically. Like virtually every website, this site's hosting provider (SiteGround) keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — for security and operation of the site. The site may also use website analytics (Google Analytics) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use it. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally.

Fonts. This site's typeface is hosted on our own server — no font files are requested from third parties and no data is transmitted to font providers when pages load.

Cookies

The site uses only what is necessary for it to function, plus Google Analytics cookies that load solely if you accept them via the consent banner — declining means no analytics code reaches your browser at all. The full list of cookies, their lifetimes, and how to change your choice at any time are in the Cookie Policy. The site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and I do not sell or trade your data with anyone.

WhatsApp

If you choose to contact me via the WhatsApp link, your communication is processed by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under its own privacy policy. Starting a WhatsApp conversation is entirely your choice; the website itself sends nothing to Meta.

Booking a call

If you choose to schedule a consultation through the calendar link, scheduling is handled by Calendly under its own privacy policy — the details you enter there (name, email, and anything you choose to share) go to Calendly and then to me for the purpose of holding the call. Using WhatsApp or email instead is always available.

Who your data is shared with

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing. It is processed only by the service providers needed to run the site and my practice: SiteGround (hosting), Google (fonts and, where active, analytics), and my email provider. Where your matter requires it and with your knowledge, relevant details may be shared with professionals working on your case — for example a lawyer or accountant you have asked me to coordinate with.

How long data is kept

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your matter and for a reasonable period afterwards, after which it is deleted. Where a business relationship follows, records are kept for the periods required by Cypriot law, including tax and anti-money-laundering legislation.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email markos@cyprino.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus.

The guide and occasional emails

If you request my guide by entering your email address, that address is stored with MailerLite (an EU-based email service provider acting as processor) and used to send you the guide and, occasionally, updates when something in Cyprus genuinely changes. Subscription uses double opt-in — nothing is sent until you confirm your address — and every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. The legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. This page was last updated on 21 July 2026.

Considering Cyprus?

Start with one honest conversation.

Residency, company, tax position — then the property. Tell me what you are considering and I will help you find the right next step.
